A new CD!

This weekend I bought FM Static's new CD. It's really good. I like it even better than their first one. All I can say is that Trevor Mcneevan is one talented guy. For those of you who didn't know, he's the lead singer for both FM Static and Thousand Foot Krutch, AND he writes all the songs for FM Static, Thousand Foot Krutch, and Hawk Nelson. Funny how he's a huge influence on so many of my favorite bands. Anyway, go buy the CD, it's really really good. Click here to visit their web page.

On Sunday, my family went to Jubilee Farm where my little sibs picked out pumpkins and gourds. Unfortunately, the pony rides were closed, so Zach didn't get to ride a "horse" (he loves horses...). He did get to go on a hay ride that was pulled by horses though and he seemed to be happy.

You Guys Confuse Me

I have a couple of questions for the guys... Do you like it when girls ask you out? I think that's just crazy, but I was curious what you think. The second question, what is the most important thing for a girl to be/have? People keep asking me if I have a boyfriend, which I don't, and they keep telling me to ask someone out. I won't mention any names, but its getting kind of irritating.

Presentation

This morning I had a presentation in Nutrition class. It went pretty well, I think... School has been really busy, hence the reason I haven't posted for a couple of days.
The Fog of War was really boring. It was an interview movie and it lasted for about 1 1/2 hours. Unfortunately, the dude who was in charge didn't have any batteries for the TV remote, so we ended up sitting in the class room for half an hour before we actually watched the movie. Oh yeah, and the movie was postponed an hour, uggh.
My guitar class was canceled today because my teacher was sick. I wish that I didn't have to come to school when I was sick... I often feel really lousy but I still have to come to school.

On a more spiritual note, lately I've been trying to focus on being more like the Prov. 31 woman. Unfortunately, its really hard. I'm far from perfect.

fa-la-la-la-la

Today I'm meeting up with some people from my Nutrition 130 class to work on powerpoints for our group presentation. I hate doing group projects. I keep getting put in groups with extremely bossy people. One lady in my nutrition group clearly has a chip on her shoulder because I recieved a better grade than her on my paper. Big deal, its not like whe did bad on hers.
Tonight I'm going to see a prescrening of "The Fog of War". I have no idea what the plot is or anything, I just know that my Speech teacher offered my extra credit if I go watch it. Unfortunately, the movie doesn't start till 3:30 and it goes till 6:00 so I'm stuck at college all day long.
Yesterday, I helped my piano students pick out some music for the Christmas party I'm going to have this year. Every year, I have a Christmas party for all of my piano students. They each play a christmas carol or song from the Nutcracker and then we have cookies and cocoa. They seem to really like it. It's hard to believe that it's less than three months till Christmas. I've already started listening to my Christmas music. I know, I'm crazy. But I LOVE it!

I hate Mondays!

Today is Monday, how I hate Mondays... It means there's a whole week worth of homework in front of me. On Friday, I pick up my first mid-term. Thankfully, it is a take-home music theory mid-term so it shouldn't be that hard.
Next week, I have two awful finals, speech and nutrition. I decided that I better start studying for them this week.
Yesterday, our church had a missions night called Sweet on Missions. My family went and we had alot of fun. Pretty much, there were three missionary families, each in a different room of the church. Then, the congregation was divided up and took a turn visiting and talking to each missionary family. In each room, there was a whole table of desserts.
Yesterday morning, I played guitar for the main service at church. I didn't play super great, but I'll do better next time. I'm just so excited that I have the opportunity to play.

Its the Most Wonderful Day of the Week

Ahhh, a break from homework. I love weekends, especially Fridays. I have no idea what I'm going to do this weekend except for church. Maybe I'll cook something really sinful... maybe something chocolate...
My Taylor guitar finally has a name. It's name is Markus. Rabenstranger named him. For those of you who don't know (and probably don't care) my other guitars are Tio and Anabelle.

I will survive!

It's only Thursday, uggh. I'm so ready for the weekend. Next week is mid-terms and I'm not really looking forward to that. But, I am looking forward to not doing any school work this weekend.
So, my friend told me that there's some rumor going around about me and Aaron. For those of you who heard or know us, it's NOT true. Aaron is too young for me and he's totally not my type. Yes, I consider him my friend, but it goes no further than that. I think the rumor was started by a comment my sister made....

Its Tuesday, but kind of Friday

It's Tuesday, three more days until the weekend! However, tomorrow I have a day off so its kind of like an extra Friday. But then, Thursday will be like another Monday. Never mind, its too confusing.
I have two papers due this week, one on ginseng and another on a "group that I've been in". They're both pretty short papers so neither one should be a problem.
Today I'm meeting up with some people from my speech class to discuss and plan our film festival. It is going to be called "Cinematic Adventures" and it is going to be alot of fun. We're printing out flyers today.

Sorry about my lack of interesting topics and aweful grammar... I haven't done much since college started.

Study

Tomorrow I have my first exam since the beginning of the quarter. It is a nutrition exam about carbs, lipids, sugars, and some deseases we studied in class. Tonight I have ALOT to study.
Today will be my first guitar class since I picked up my new guitar. I hope my teacher likes it.
In speech class, my group has decided to put on a film festival for our group project. We're starting from scratch... we have to find indie films, book a room, fund, and do all the advertising. Since this accounts for a quarter of our grade, we better do a really good job.

It Came!!!

My guitar finally arrived. It is a Taylor big baby with a solid top (not laminate) and it sure plays nice. I picked it up yesterday and played alot last night. It seems really loud to me because I'm used to playing an electric which I usually don't plug in (for the sake of my family's sanity).
I went to Bell-Square with my family and we had alot of fun. We took Madie to Build-a-Bear and she made her Hello Kitty which she has a hard time leaving during meals. It seems to be a success. Then Ri and I went and did a little shopping by ourselves while my mom and the little kids went to play on the "tugboat". Ri and I went to a couple of athletic clothing stores and Ri bought some biking pants. I found a biking top that was really cute but I thought that $60 was just too much to pay for a shirt (even though it did look quite good on me).
Today I'll be going to my piano lessons after my classes. It'll be fun because this week I've bought some new music. I bought Bach's Italian Concerto, the Corpse Bride theme, and Victor's Piano Solo from the Corpse Bride.
Then, tonight, my family will be going to New Life to lead the Rangers and Missionettes programs there. In other words, I have a pretty full schedule today.

It Came!!!

And Life Goes On

Tomorrow I was supposed to pick up my new Taylor guitar. When I called before going down to the Guitar Center, the dude said that it hadn't come in. I'm ticked at him, he's supposed to be the manager and he promised that be would send someone to get my guitar and that they would have it by 3 yesterday. Grrrr. now I have to take my Eleca to guitar class again.
Today my mom, Ri, Mason, Zach, Madie, and I are going to Bell-square. We're going so that we can take Madeline to build a bear to make a Hello Kitty for her birthday present. Her birthday was yesterday. My mom took her out to lunch at McDonalds (her choosing...) and shopping. By the end of the day, she was birthdayed out.
On Friday I have my first test of the quarter... a nutrition test. Hopefully I'll do good on it, I think that I will but I'm not sure. I really stink at science of any kind.

Of Tako and Jr. Highers

I had a really crazy birthday. It started with my breakfast in bed (a tradition at our house...), I had a bagel, fresh fruit, Odwalla, and yogurt (way too much food for me to finish) and then I was off to school. Thank goodness it was a Friday. After college, my mom took me to Blue C Sushi for lunch. It is a traditional style sushi bar in the U-District. We had sushi (Duh!), teriyaki, spicey noodles, and tea. It was really quite good though I don't think that my mom likes sushi at all. The interesting thing was the Tako Sushi, in Japanese tako is octopus. Rabenstrange called me in the morning to wish me a happy birthday and said that I had to try it. It was interesting, not bad, not really good... The octopus meat is really tough and hard to chew.
After lunch, my mom and I went shopping. We didn't buy anything except for the candy I bought Ri. Then we went out to ice cream at Ben and Jerry's. I had my favorite flavor, cookie dough.
Then, after our dessert we head home because the Missionettes sleepover was that night and pretty much everyone in my family was a chaperone (all in different age groups...). Boy were those jr high girls noisy. Sweet girls but they sure could get rowdy. I finally fell asleep around 2:00-2:30. After I fell asleep, tbqelite's little sister Katie decided to kick me in the head to see if I was a heavy sleeper. I didn't even wake up. College really wears me out.
