The WASAL

This week I'm writing an academic argument paper on the WASAL. I have to interview one more person still and write the five pages. Talk about BORING! I hate writing papers. Oh well, the quarter only has four weeks left, I'm over half way done.
Next quarter I'm taking Japanese 103, Botany 101, Gym, and possibly Listening to Music. I have no clue what "listening to music" consists of but I love music and it would count as a Humanity.

romantic movies

Here are a few of my favorite chick flicks. Watch some for Valentine's Day! Then, tell me how you like them.

Emma
This is a great Jane Austin story. I love the Jane Austin movies I've seen. I should probably read the books though.

A Walk to Remember
I love this movie but the end is so sad.

The Phantom of the Opera
This is a classic. If you haven't seen it, go out and rent it! I always feel bad for the phantom though.

Pride and Prejudice (2003 version)
This is one of my favorite movies. It's a modern day spin off of the Jane Austin Pride and Prejudice. Rather than a story of a bunch of sisters growing up in England, it's about a group of roomates in modern day Utah. It's a cute chick flick.

Kate and Leopold
I love this movie. Jackman and Ryan make such a cute couple. Jackman does a great job playing an old-fashioned British gentleman. The plot is really unique.

My favorite things...

Some of my favorite things...
(in no specific order)

Grand pianos, I wish I owned one...
Roses, from a guy?
Chocolates, especially Godivas...
Good rock music (this is Switchfoot)
Van's shoes, the most comfortable shoes ever...
Gibson guitars, this one happens to be the one that I'm hoping to buy...

Five Iron Frenzy

Unfortunately, Five Iron Frenzy is no more. However, their CDs are still being sold. They are a Christian skaw band with really cool music. They have a great song called "Superpowers". I encourage people to check them out...

Kutless

Kutless
So today's band is Kutless. Kutless is an extremely talented Christian band. They began as a youth group worship band, writing songs for their church's youth. Now they have three CDs out and are working on a fourth. I went to their concert this summer and they were rockin cool. Unfortunately, the church turned their mikes down.

Groundhog Day Eve

Tomarrow's Groundhog day! It's even a recognized holiday at BCC. (that's the joke going around) The teacher's meeting day just so happened to fall on Groundhog day. It's kinda funny, my English teacher was cracking jokes about it throughout English class today.
Since I have a break, I'm going to write a paper that's due next week. I should probably study for my tests too. I have a Japanese test on Thursday/Friday next week and an astronomy test on Friday next week.

Band of the Day...

Switchfoot

Most everyone has already heard them or at least heard of them. If not go to their site. They released a new album in September, Nothing is Sound. They're addicting, check them out...
