Fridays Rock!

Yes! It's finally Friday! I'm so glad to not be in school. I can stay up late, sleep in, and do at least something that I want to.
Unfortunately I have to write a paper and do a take home assignment over the weekend. I'm also gonna attempt to memorize the katakana alphabet.
I'm not sure what I'm gonna be for halloween yet. Last year I was an army man. I think some people might have been affended. Oh well, I support the military so I don't see anything wrong with dressing up like them. After all they protect our freedom.

Slavery

Friday's my first midterm. It's for History 201 and contains essay questions and terms. Unfortunately for the terms we have to include dates in our answers and I'm horrible at remembering dates.
Today my history teacher raved on about buying clothing from third world countries. He said that we think its terrible to have slaves yet the workers in these countries make so little they're not much better off than slaves. In my opinion there's nothing unBiblical about having slaves. I can't find anyplace where God said that slavery is wrong first of all. On the other hand about the workers in third world countries... If we weren't buying what they make they wouldn't recieve anything and might even end up starving. So, is it more humane to buy stuff from them (and encourage it as Dr. Haslam says) or not(and let them be jobless)?

I hate Mondays!

I hate Mondays! It seems that most people do. Prehaps it's because it means the weekends over. Maybe it's because it means that there's another four days of school ahead or work. Whatever there's something about Mondays that I don't like.....
Yesterday my family went out to lunch after church. It was nice getting out as a family as it doesn't happen very often. Especially going out to eat since my family is tight on money we rarely go out. Last night, my mom, Ri, and I went to Ikea and Borders. I got two Yellowcard Cds with the giftcard I recieved for my birthday. They are awesome!!!

Three Cheers for the Weekend!

Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah! I've lived through another week of college. Now I can do the stuff I want to do: play guitar, go to Borders, etc.
My friend Melinda from History class wants to go ice skating this weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to. I love ice skating!
Sunday Ri and I are playing music for a nursing home. Hopefully it goes well, we haven't had much time to practice.
Today's Japanese test seems to have gone well. I read all the words without error. I got an A on my math test. As for my History test, it has been postponed to Tuesday. The good thing is that I'll have extra time to study, unfortunately, it also means that I'll have to study for Tuesday's test and Friday's test at the same time... STUPID TESTS!!!!

Dreadfully Busy........

This week I've had or am having tests in every class. Yesterday I had a math test, today I have a Japanese test, tomorrow I have a Japanese test, and tomorrow I have a History test. Fun Fun Fun!
Anyways, I haven't done much other than school. Yesterday however since I didn't have orchestra practice I went to Barnes and Nobles with my little sibs, mom, and Ri. The little kids and my mom went to the story time and Ri and I went over to Starbucks and had chocolate dipped macaroons. (they were delish)
Today I teach piano students after school. Oh, while we were out and about yesterday I picked up my Suzuki CD for piano. (I'm supposed to listen to the songs I'm learning/going to learn so that I hear how they're supposed to sound.) I even managed to order it so that I got the best pianist playing it.
Gotta Go Study..........

Maddie's Birthday

Yesterday was my baby sister's second birthday. It's hard to believe that she's already two. It seems like just yesterday when I went with my dad to pick her up from the hospital.
Anyways, Sunday my mom had a birthday lunch for her. She invited a couple of our cousins Alicia who's one and Mia who's four months. She was given a Hello Kitty, Hello Kitty coloring books, two outfits, and a Madeline Iffle Tower playhouse.
Yesterday which was her actual birthday our family had a little birthday dinner for her and gave her a Madeline doll, a stick horse, and a tractor thing.
It's funny though cause my brother Zach is used to being the center of attention. Whenever we try to take a picture of Maddie or she is given a present he wants to be in the picture or open the present. He got really frusterated.
Tonight my grandparents, one of my aunts, and one of my uncles are coming over for dinner. That'll be interesting...
