Going,going,gone

This is my last day of being a "child". Kind of weird to think about. Tomorrow, I turn 18. I guess I should do something really crazy today but I don't have any good ideas. I thought about dying my hair but my mom wouldn't appreciate that too much.
Yesterday I went to "Friend's Club", the junior high Missionettes girl program. I'm a leader and so I pretty much get to hangout with and talk to the girls. Joy does the lessons, however, if she ever needs someone to help out, I can also lead the lessons. Are any of you bloggers former missionets?

And then comes.... Week 2

I've survived the first week back at college and now I'm on to week 2. I was able to organize my school work quite a bit over the weekend. Yesterday I wrote out a schedual for the rest of the week. I think that homework seems more attainable that way.
Let's see... as for the weekend, on Saturday Kathleen, Ri, and I went to the Puyallup Fair. However, this time we actually had time to look at the attractions. It was kind of funny though cause as we went into the overly crowded exotic animal barn, we bumped into tbqelite and the Mottazai clan... Also, we decided to try and find a lunch that wouldn't kill us from heart disease later on that evening. The healthiest food we could found ended up being a turkey sandwich that we split three ways. Then we went for the nut dips. (we can have one treat, right?) All in all we had alot of fun at the fair.
As for Sunday, we did something, but I'm hoping to post about that later when I can get my dad to help me post pics...

Back on a Schedual

Wow, I feel like such a slacker sometimes... My nutrition class has lots of homework and I'm not where I should be on the schedual. It's not like I'm handing in late assignments or anything but I'm supposed to have read two chapters and done like 15 pages of lecture notes... Not anything I hand in, but still... for a workaholic like me, it drives me crazy! The funny thing is, I've had time for nothing but homework and yet, its never done...
This weekend I'm looking forward to catching up on all of my classes "tentative scheduals" so that I don't have to worry about being behind next week. I'll also go shopping for my accoustic guitar which is going to be awesome and the Italian Concerto sheet music for my piano... A busy weekend. I'd also like to go roller bladding since I've been to busy lately to go.
Hey! Maybe I'll even have time to post the pics of my dress...

First Day of Guitar Class

watashi wa giitaru kurasu ni kimasu. I went to my first guitar class today. It was kind of fun, though it was quite easy. (what else should I expect though?) However, the not so cool thing is that my teacher wants me to buy an acoustic guitar. A decent acoustic is well over $200... Well, I'll have to keep my eyes open I guess. He recommended that I go to Redwood Guitars in Seattle. We'll see...
Music theory class has started nice and easy but I'm sure that it will get quite difficult by the end. I managed to NOT sit by Brian but the girl I ended up sitting by seemed like a snob... I'm not sure which is worse.
I actually have homework to do tonight! Yesterday I didn't really have to do anything (which was nice). I do like having assignments to work on though.
In Nutrition class I'm required to see "Supersize Me", which I've heard is a totally disgusting movie. Supprisingly, my mom didn't seem to object or want me to drop the class.... so I guess I'll have to rent it.

For any music fans out there...

First day back at College

Today was my first day back at BCC since Spring quarter ended. This quarter, I'm taking, Nutrition, Music Theory, Small Group Communication, and Group Guitar. All my teachers seem to be really nice which is great. Especially since I always get worried that the beginning of the quarter. (I don't start guitar class till tomorrow.)However, the price of books really sunk me... My books were almost $500!!! Theory class has six books and a computer program! I wasn't too happy when I bought my books... They don't even all fit in my messenger bag and my messenger bag is enormous.

Anyways, the parties went really well. Most of my friends were able to make it to the girls party and all but one family made it to the "family" party. At the girls party we had a four-course dinner and fondue which was a big hit. I'll post pics when I get the chance (I haven't even looked through them yet...) As for presents, I received lots of clothing, 3 Starbuck's cards, a movie theatre card, Best Buy card, Flyleaf CD, chocolates, etc... It would take forever to list everything.

The Eve of the Party

It's after 11 and I'm just not tired... I probably should be asleep by now, knowing that I won't get much of that tomorrow, but I'd rather make a post. So here it goes...
Yesterday's concert was awesome! Switchfoot has improved their stage presence alot since last time I saw them. However, the Moore in downtown is much nicer that the fair's stadium thingy... I guess there's not much to say about it though, you have to see it for yourself... so click here and buy your own tickets to see them...
Today I bought heels to wear with my dress tomorrow... They are black sling-backs and I'm not so short with 2 1/2 in. heels... Oh, and the gloves.... Also, I finally bought a messenger bag for college. It's not the one I had my eye on, it's made by Dakine and its big and black. Pretty non-descript, but quite nice.
I have this song in my head so I'm going to post the lyrics. Oh, I'm a secret (or not so secret romantic...) and I really like listening to love songs and dreaming about my hubby, who by the way is going to be the best guy on the planet...

Hello
You never ever leave my mind,
My sweet sweet Madeline.
Every time I look into your eyes,
I feel like I'm alive.
And I can barely make a sound whenever you're around.
You can find me hiding in the crowd next time you come to town.
Hey! Hey!I've been waitin' all day!
Every time I want to say hello,
Every time I want to stay I go.
Can't ever find the words to let you know.
Sometimes you play my mind a million times.
Wish I could somehowlet you know,
That all the way from here to Mexico,
You're the one and only girl for me.
Tu es un, Bonjour, oui oui.
And my tongue gets tied so quick.
I get so nervous I'm feelin' sick.
And turn into the world's worst Romeo every time I try to say hello.
You're so fine, been on my mind.
Get nervous every time I see you hop online.
Okay, I'm a dork, but at least I'll admit it. I love that song!

Just do the Puyallup!

Today's a crazy day at my house. This morning, Ri taught a piano lessons. Meanwhile, my mom and I worked on finishing up the dresses. Which, by the way, are beautiful. In a couple of hours, we have piano lessons and then this evening we (Ri, Mason, and I) are going to do the puyallup (for those outa staters, the puyallup is our state fair.)
For our birthdays, Mason, Ri, and I received tickets to go see Switchfoot at the fair. Mason and I are excited, though Ri isn't really the concert type... I saw Switchfoot a couple of years ago at the Moore... It was cool though, cause Switchfoot performed "Happy is a Yuppy Word" for the very first time. They hadn't even finished writing all of the verses.

Just another day...

Well not much has happened today. I taught piano lessons, visited my grandpa (very depressing), and helped my mom pick out some favors for my baby sisters 3rd birthday party (her birthday is 3 days after mine.).
This evening, my friend came over for dinner. After dinner, we went on a long walk. It started to get dark and her dad came looking for us. Oops, I hope that I didn't get her in trouble. She's an awesome friend... I'm so glad that she's done working all the camps. We finally have started getting together again.
Tomorrow, Ri and I are going to our aunt's house and she is going to give us makeovers. My aunt works for Bobby Brown and is only two positions below Bobby Brown herself. My aunt actually knows Bobby Brown and has gone to her house for dinner. Enough talk about my aunt, anyways, I need to get my hair cut also. I should call tomorrow morning to make an appointment.

I went shopping!

This weekend, my aunt took Ri and I shopping for clothing. (She takes us each year for our birthday.) We bought lots of cool new clothes. I got my Rocket Dogs (ohhhh right!), a hat, belt, shirts, a pair of pants, and undies. It was lots of fun.
We went to dinner at Zoopas on Friday. Zoopas rocks! I love the way you can choose how you want your food. (Oh yeah, and you can make the best brownie sundaes.)
My parties are on Friday (with friends) and Saturday (with relatives). The friend party is the one with the fancy dinner and fondue fountain.

I totally dig these shoes!

Here are the Rocket Dogs that I want to buy. Do you like em? (check out the cool pink spikes!)

ZEN!!!!

Yesterday, I finally drove over to Fry's Electronics and bought my zen mp3 player. I love it!!! It's a zen micro-photo in 8GB. It is babypink on the front and white on the back. I've loaded lots of my music onto it, but haven't nearly loaded all of my music yet.
Other than that, I had my first fall piano lesson yesterday. I've decided to work to my guild graduation this year. In other words, I'll need to learn 10 pieces and 4 phases. One of these pieces is an 18 page Sonata. Sonata K331. by Mozart. And to think that he wrote it when he was just a young boy........ It's a beautiful piece. For fun (not for guild) I plan on learning some music from the Corpse Bride. This week I'm working on an easy jazz piece for fun in addition to all the super serious music.
This weekend, I'm going shopping for some new fall clothes. I saw some Rocket Dog shoes the other day that I fell in love with that I might buy.

Two weeks till skool

I only have two more weeks of summer vacation. My books for this coming quarter are extremely expensive. Oh well, at least I'm finally able to take the guitar class.
My dress is almost done. All I have left is sewing on the trims, buttons, and hemming the bottom. Since I don't have shoes to match yet, I can't hem the bottom. Oh well, its beautiful... I'm even buying long gloves to complete the elegant look.
I started teaching "fall quarter" piano lessons today. It's kind of fun making new charts and stuff for my students. Tomorrow, I'll have my first lesson since summer brake. I'm really looking forward to it. This spring, I'll be playing my big graduation recital. I hope we can afford to have it somewhere nice. My fellow student who graduated last year, rented a hall.
