Twas the Day after Christmas

Well, Christmas went quite well. On Christmas Eve, our immediate family exchanged gifts. My parents gave me 2 versions of Pride and Prejudice (the 1985 version and the one with Colin Firth) , a book with all the Jane Austin novels, and a moleskine day planner. Ri and Mason gave me a LeSportsac purse. And Rabenstrange gave me a pen drive with skype loaded on it with a headset so that I can skype from any computer since my comp isn't good enough for Skype. After our family exchanged gifts, we went over to my Uncle Chris's house for dinner, a cookie exchange, and slept over. Then in the morning, we did stockings before going to my Aunt Sarah's house for Christmas dinner.
Today we relaxed a bit. I slept in till 11ish and then went with my mom to visit my grandpa in the nursing home. After visiting him, we went to Target before heading home. Since getting home, I haven't really done much of anything. I played guitar and cleaned the kitchen...

Twas the Night Before Christmas

Tonight is our family's Christmas Eve. We celebrate Christmas mostly on the 24th because my dad's family does and my mom's family celebrates on the 25th. So, tonight my sibs and I will be sleeping under the Christmas tree as our tradition has been since as long as I can remember. One year, my dad stepped on my hair while putting presents under the tree. He woke me up, that was pretty funny. I don't think that will happen this year though cause my hair is short now.
This afternoon, my family went and saw The Nativity I was impressed with how well it was done. It even stuck pretty close to the Bible. It portrayed Joseph as a truly righteous man which I really liked. I mean, he could have had Mary stoned... The only thing that I really didn't like was that whenever the angel visited someone, this hawk appeared. That was kind of hokey...

Merry Christmas Everyone!

This week over a million Washington residents lost there electricity due to a huge windstorm that hit on Thursday evening. My family was one of the many to lose electricity. For that reason, I have been unable to post until now. It's so nice to have our power back... Some people won't get theres until after Christmas. Some people have even packed up and left. Pretty Crazy!
My parents left for Vancouver as of this morning. They go every year during the month of December. While they are gone, Rabenstrange, Ri, Mason and I have sibling bonding time complete with brownie sundaes and movies.
Yesterday, I finished my Christmas shopping. :) My family went to Bellevue Square and it was lots of fun. I would talk about what I bought but then I'd ruin the surprise for my family. However, I did get some stationairy for myself. It has the superman gang on it.

Christmas Break

MY BROTHER IS HOME!!!!
Over the last few days, we've been doing lots of Christmas activities... We've decorated gingerbread houses, gone Christmas shopping, picked out a Christmas tree, decorated our Christmas tree and much more... Unfortunately, no school, also means less computer availablilty. I'll try to continue posting over the break but it won't be every day... So sorry :(
This afternoon, I'm throwing a Christmas party/Recital for my piano students. They'll play Christmas songs and then we'll chat and eat goodies...

Tests and more tests

It's the first day of finals. Thankfully, I have my two hardest finals today so I won't have to worry about them in a few hours. The film festival wasn't such a hit. Unfortunately, we planned it on the last day of classes and nobody wanted to stay. However, we did get quite a few donations and people who seemed interested if we did one not so close to finals next quarter, we'll see...
My brother comes home in 3 days!!! I can't wait, I've missed him so much. We're planning on getting our Christmas tree on Friday so that he'll be able to go with us.
That's all for today, my head is spinning with finals material...

I know that I can make it...

Today is the last day of classes for the quarter. Next week I have finals on Monday and Wednesday. I'll most likely get straight As this quarter so I'm happy. :)
Tomorrow morning, I'm leaving for LaConner with Kathleen and Ri. We're going to the Christmas tree lighting and we're going shopping. Ri bought some fancy dresses for us so that we can wear them when we go out to dinner. I can't wait...
The film festival starts at 12:30 this afternoon. Students came through at the last minute and turned in some films. It will be interesting to see how good of a turnout we get...
That's all for now, I gotta go to class.
