Nothing much to say...

I've been on a hunt to find my sister (RI) the best birthday present. Her birthday is Sunday and she is soooo hard to find a good present for. I've been shopping for hours and still haven't found the perfect gift.

Other than that, I got new shoes on Tuesday. They're low-top chucks that are orange with lime green lining. Kinda crazy....

Movies and Music

Here are a couple of must see movies I've seen over the last couple of days.
What about Bob-You just have to see it....
The Corpse Bride- Cute love story though kind of odd... I love the scene in the beggining when Victor plays Victoria's piano.
One of my favorite bands has just released a new CD. I had thought that they had broken up (which I was quite upset about) but they didn't... Check it out here. They are called FM Static and the CD is called critically ashamed.

School Shopping

Things have been changing alot the last couple months. My brothers gone and now it looks as though my family might switch churches. This may seem a small thing, I mean its not like I'm moving... But, pretty much all of my friends are church friends and I don't see them much outside of church (we don't live very close to each other). Tonight, my little brother is going to our new church for a "family movie night". It all just seems so very strange.
College starts up again in less than a month... I need to buy a new backpack as my pack from last year didn't handle the weight of a load of college books very well. I'm thinking about getting a messenger bag from timbuk2 that you design yourself. It's pretty cool... Go here if you want to see.
Also, I'm probably going to buy a new mp3 player as the one I have doesn't hold all my music and doesn't have a screen. I really like the zen nano photo, it's 8GB and has a voice recorder, holds about 4000 songs, has a color screen, and I can load pictures onto it. If anyone is interested you can go here to see it.
My friend got her drivers license this week. It's really nice cause she's come over twice in the last couple days already. I just can't wait till I have mine:)

planning

The last week has been a week of thinking, dreaming, and planning.... So many things fill my mind. With my brother gone at college I'm reminded that I'll be transfering next year and will need to find a university. Also my sister and I have been planning our birthday party for next month. And like always, I wonder what the future holds.
My sister and I are going to have an 1800s themed birthday party. We're having a formal dinner with appetizers and a couple courses and we're probably going to sew some dresses we found patterns for. The dresses will be beautiful if we sew them, I'll feel like a princess... They look like something you would see in a Jane Austin movie. In fact, they're supposed to be Sense and Sensibility dresses. We made invites the other day and they turned out really pretty.

Till Next Time... Bye!

He's gone

Our family dropped off Rabenstrange at the airport a couple hours ago. Zach and Madeline burst into tears when they could no longer see him. Ri started getting teary and I almost cried but was able to hold it back. (For those of you who didn't know, Rabenstrange and I are a year apart in age and were very close. I told him stuff I would never tell my parents cause he can keep a secret and listen without making fun of me.)
So, with Rabenstrange gone, he has asked me to post about all the going ons at home to keep him up to date. I'm hoping to buy a digital camera also so that I can post pics of my fam. for him.

We love you Rabenstrange!!!!!

And away flys the first...

The first chick to leave the nest is flying off tomorrow morning. It's going to be so strange without Rabenstrange. He's the talker of the family. His flight leaves tomorrow at 1:00pm from the Seatac Airport and he arrives in Tokyo at 3:00pm (only a day later, because of the time difference) It'll definately be a new experience for him. Currently, our parents are frantically telling him to remember to pack this and that. Come on, he's 19! You'd think he could pack his own suitcase but I guess they're just showing that they're going to miss him.
I'm having my B-day party in 4 weeks. It seems like I just had a birthday. Only this time, I'll become a legal adult. Now thats kinda scarry it means that if my dad gets ticked off enough at me, he can kick me out...

Sleepover

Tonight Hope is coming over for a sleepover! So, we'll watch movies and O.D. on popcorn. Anyways, I did my sister's hair today in ringlets. It took 3 hours! We're hoping that it'll still look nice for church tomorrow. It looks really pretty.
Tomorrow, Ri and I are going to a nursing home to do worship. Then, in the evening I'll babysit. I'm taking the kids swimming. Sound like fun? Oh, and I'm baking them a cookie pizza. (Mackenzie has been wanting one ever since I told her about making them when I was little.)

New Releases

Desciple and Relient K are both releasing albums this coming November! Just thought I'd let you guys know...

I'm back!

Life's been hectic the last few days. I've taught piano lessons, practiced piano and guitar, and hung with Ri. Unfortunately my computer has serious problems so I won't be able to post all that often until I either get it fixed or college starts (which ever comes first).
I finally got my new CD "We can't stand sitting down" by Stellar Kart. It's pretty good... This fall, several of my favorite bands are releasing new CDs. Skillet will be releasing a CD in October and Switchfoot will be releasing one sometime this fall (no set date yet).
I was talking to my bro, Rabenstrange and he said that I could record a song and post it... Would anybody be interested in hearing my skills (or lack there of)?

Hello, from Oregon!

I'm on family vacation now. We left yesterday at around 2ish. We're camping in Astoria, Oregon. I'm not a huge camper but it's a "family vacation" which means, I don't have a choice.
Today we got a late start, but that's the usual for my huge fam. We went to the Astoria Column and climbed the 164 steps to reach the top. The view was beautiful. Then we went shopping in Astoria, and it's NOTHING like shopping in good ol Seattle. I went into a few music shops and none of the sell Gibsons... What's up with that? Anyways, since I'm at a tiny library and peoples are waiting for the computers, I gotta go...
