Another Day in the Life
So Let's see.... While my fam was gone my mom and I hung out and went to beaches etc. We went to two beaches one in Kirkland and Alki. Alki was lotsa fun cause I brought my blades. We also went out to lunch twice and Tullys. It was fun havin a brake from the "loud child" and havin it mostly just my mom and I.
Today we had split-pea soup for dinner... YUCK! (not more ham) One problem with havin ham is there's tons of it. Which means that we have it for the next week. uuugh!

Having tons of ham is a problem? When my mom buys one of those huge glazed hams they are eaten pretty fast. I'd give it 4 days tops before its all gone.
Oh, those Teach magazines you were working on this afternoon are all in the garbage. Apparantly Rich didn't proof the dummy and there were errors in the printing. So 400 sets are now in the dumpster and the entire day of printing has been wasted. Oh well, more hours for me this week.
I can see how you wouldn't like ham since you were trying to have a vegan lifestyle but I for one love split-pea soup, especially with ham. I would put that amongst my list of favorite foods to consume. That's just me though.
I'm not a vegan! I only tryed that for a couple days and I didn't really like it all that much. Since you can't have any dairy products it was hard to find things that I could have. Also I missed my turkey subs and chicken tacos. That's not why I don't like ham. I just don't like the taste of it.
"Having tons of ham is a problem?"
My thoughts exactly. I personally would adore/love/be trilled/like/be extatic to have a ton of ham hanging around. Ham is one of my favorite foods. Maybe you just haven had a good ham. Three years ago my uncle gave us a really good ham. *drools* huhuhuhhh...! *drools* Soooo ggooodddd! *drools* Maybe you'd like it with honey-musturd. I do. I do, ham I'll marry you! Ok maybe not.
I'll agree with EJB, it really depends on the ham. The most awsome hams are the ones that have been spiral cut from the bone, smoked and honey glazed, repacked onto the bone, and smoked again right before packaging. These hams are generally 10-15 pounds and generally cost $3-6 per pound, and worth every cent. My mom buys these whenever she can find them on sale, otherwise she doesn't like to pay that much for food.
Those are the hams that have a refrigerator life of 2 days, because once it is cooked up, that's how long it will last before there is none left in my house due to rapid consumption.
