To answer your question on my blog:
the Harry Potter series is a great one. J.K. Rowling is a wonderful author and her stories of good against evil captivate so many people. I am a Christian myself, and always wondered what was such a fuss over books about "witches" and "wizards", not enjoyable subjects to Christians to be sure.
There are a lot of opinions about this: but my belief is that Harry Potter was written on a Christian philosophy. The "magic" in the books is a fictional kind: reminiscent of J. R. R. Tolkein and C.S. Lewis. I waited until I was almost seventeen until I read the books, and I'm glad I did.
I don't recommend the series to everyone--but they are great books. That's why so many people like them! Sorry that my comment is so long! I'm definitely taking the superhero quiz!
