Dinner at the Space Needle
Last night, my parents took me out to dinner at the Space Needle. It was my belated graduation dinner, and it was really good. Our reservations were at 7:15. I had jidori chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, steamed vegetables, a peach cream smoothie, and chocolate fudge cake for dessert. It was delicious. My mom ordered a halibut dish with mango salsa which was actually tastier than my chicken, but it was all quite good.
After dinner, we walked around the observation deck for a long time. The view from the Space Needle is so pretty! I have been to the Space Needle several times before (not for dinner though) but I guess I never really enjoyed the beauty of the view. When the sun went down, we looked over the lights of Seattle. It was so beautiful.
This afternoon, I went to the library and got some new books to review. I read one this afternoon. It was called Anything but Ordinary. I enjoyed it, I couldn't put it down. It's about a girl and a boy who meet in 8th grade and totally love each other. They're geeks and the only friends that each other have. Then, the girl moves off to college and becomes a flaky wannabe popular girl. Meanwhile, the guy is totally broken up because he misses her so he decides to fly to the college and surprise her. Well, I'm not going to give away the rest, so read the book!
Next month, two must hear CDs are coming out. The Rocket Summer is releasing his first album on a major label, it is called Do You Feel. He has a fun pop-rock sound. Check it out at www.therocketsummer.com. The other album is Secret Weapon by MxPx. I've previewed a couple songs off this album and they rock crazy good. Secret Weapon releases on July 17th.
